Xtians: Why did Justin Martyr feel the need to write this apology? - justin burns in roseville ca

First Apology of Justin Martyr:
CHAPTER XX - Heathen analogies to Christian doctrine.

"And," said the Sibyl and Hystaspes, there must be a dissolution by God of things corruptible. And the philosophers called Stoics teach that God himself must be dissolved in the fire and say the world will transform this revolution, but we understand that God the Creator of all things, is better than what will change. So when God shall in some respects we have the same things as the poets and philosophers, honor, and other issues are more fully and in doctrine, and if they test what they claim, why are we unjustly hated more than any other? Because if we can say that all things are produced and in a world divided by God, we believe that the absolute teaching of Plato, when we say that be a record for all is as it seems that the doctrine of the Stoics, say at the same time that the souls of the wicked, equipped with sensitivity, even after death to be punished andgo rather than the penalty fee to a golden existence, we seem to be saying the same things as the poets and philosophers, while we say that men should worship the works of their hands, we can say the same things which were told of the comic poet Menander, and other similar writers, for which they have, that the employee is more than employment. "

Have you noticed how Justin has admitted that he has taken before and religions such as Christianity, had?

Not if it's true. If the West has found that 1 +1 = 2, but it had been before they were discovered, does not mean that it is delivered to the other, except that both came to a truth.
